Frantz Omar Fanon (French pronunciation was a Martinique-born Afro-Caribbean psychiatrist, philosopher, revolutionary, and writer whose works have been massively influential in the fields of post-colonial studies, critical theory, and Marxism. His best known works were written after working as a psychiatrist and doctor in the Algerian War of Independence.
